Albarn commented that the songs aren't written specifically with the characters in mind; rather, the animated world allows him to express personal experiences indirectly. He also revealed his enormous collection of vintage musical equipment, accumulated over decades.

Hewlett explains that the characters have evolved visually because he would get bored drawing them the same way all the time, unlike other animations where the figures remain frozen in time.

Regarding AI, they clarify that they would never use it in their creative work. However, they are considering adding an “AI random factor button” to their concerts: a fun, one-off intervention that would distort live images or sound, purely as a stage experiment.

Regarding the future of Gorillaz, they say they could eventually pass the project on to other people, although it would require enormous trust, or close the cycle when they feel the time is right.

Damon concludes by recounting a dangerous experience at White Hart Lane after celebrating a goal by the opposing team, which is why he says he will never wear a Tottenham shirt, not even while performing at their stadium.
