The entire Plastic Beach album was performed live in full for the first time since the original 2010 tour.

The show opened with a full orchestra and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, recreating the lush sound of the album’s intro.

“Some Kind of Nature,” “To Binge,” and “White Flag” were performed for the first time in over a decade.

Yasiin Bey, Gruff Rhys, Posdnuos, Yukimi Nagano, Bashy, and Kano all appeared as live guests, marking one of the largest guest lineups in a Gorillaz concert since 2010.

Damon Albarn described Plastic Beach as “the beginning of everything that followed,” calling it the most important Gorillaz record to him personally.

Visuals were updated with new CGI elements blending the 2010 aesthetic with modern renders of the Plastic Beach world.

The performance of “Empire Ants” featuring Yukimi Nagano was widely praised by fans and critics as a highlight of the night.

The encore included rare live versions of The Fall tracks such as “Phoner to Arizona” and “Revolving Doors,” connecting the Plastic Beach era with its follow-up album.

Many fans and reviewers referred to the night as “a resurrection of the Plastic Beach dream,” due to the return of its original sound, guests, and visual world.
