They present “The God of Lying,” a collaboration between Gorillaz and IDLES, part of the upcoming album, The Mountain.

Damon Albarn and Joe Talbot wrote their own parts; they admire each other and share artistic roots (their parents were sculptors).

Jamie Hewlett is working on a completely hand-drawn animated video, about 8–10 minutes long, that will tell the story of the album.

The album and video could be released at the end of January (earlier than planned).

Joe says that Blur and Tank Girl influenced him and that joining Gorillaz was “beautiful and confusing.”

They end with personal anecdotes, humor, and details about their families and favorite desserts.
